What is an MCP server?

Which AI assistants work with the GeoGen MCP server?

Any MCP-capable client, including Claude Desktop and Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot and OpenAI agents.

What do I need to set it up?

Node.js 18 or later and a GeoGen workspace API key. Add the server to your client’s MCP configuration with the key in GEOGEN_API_KEY.

Can the assistant change data in GeoGen?

Yes, within what your API key allows: it can add prompts, create entities and update task status, as well as read data. Use a dedicated key and rotate it like any credential.

Is the MCP server included in my plan?
