What is an AI visibility API?

An AI visibility API returns structured data about how AI assistants answer questions about a market: which brands they mention, in what position and tone, which sources they cite and which searches they run. GeoGen’s API exposes this for 15 engines, refreshed daily.

Which engines does the API cover?

The same 15 engines as the app: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Mistral, Brave Leo, Claude Haiku read as users see them, and DeepSeek, MiMo, Grok, Qwen, Claude Sonnet, Claude Opus queried at the model. GET /models lists them.

How do I authenticate?

Create a workspace API key in the app (Settings → Workspaces → your workspace → API Keys) and send it as Authorization: Bearer wsk_… or in the X-API-Key header. Keep keys server-side.

How fresh is the data?

Every prompt runs every day on every engine in the plan. Poll GET /entities/tracking-status to know when the latest check finished and when the next one is scheduled.

Is there an official Google AI Overviews API?

Google does not offer a public API for AI Overviews answers. GeoGen reads AI Overviews and AI Mode the way users see them and returns the mentions, positions and cited sources through its API.

Can I resell or embed the data in my product?

Yes, under a partner agreement. Platforms and SEO tool vendors embed GeoGen data in their products; talk to partnerships about volume and redistribution terms.
