GeoGen MCP server: visibility data in Claude and Cursor
The GeoGen MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude, Cursor and Windsurf read your visibility data and manage prompts, with one workspace API key.
The GeoGen MCP server is live on npm as @geogenio/mcp-server. It connects any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol to your GeoGen workspace, so you can ask about your AI visibility in plain language.
Set up in a minute
- Create a workspace API key in GeoGen under Settings > API Keys.
- Add the server to your client with
npx -y @geogenio/mcp-server, the key inGEOGEN_API_KEYandGEOGEN_BASE_URLset tohttps://api.geogen.io. - Ask away. It works with Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot and OpenAI agents.
What your assistant can do
- Read your brands, prompts and full AI answers, with the mentions, citations and searches behind each one
- Pull visibility, sentiment and citation trends, competitors and the most cited domains
- Create brands and add or remove prompts (creating a brand uses credits, as in the app)
Ask things like
- “What is the visibility trend for my brand over the last 30 days?”
- “Which domains do AI engines cite when they talk about us?”
- “Add a tracking prompt: what is the best project management tool?”
Setup for each client is on the MCP page and in the developer documentation.
